The Welbeck is a 23-bedroom guesthouse located on the seafront in Weston­super­Mare. Welbeck is under the personal attention of Anne and Martin, who are committed to giving our guests a warm welcome and provide a service to ensure that you get the very best out of your visit to Weston­super­Mare. We are a no smoking building.



  • We are located on Weston seafront.
  • Located within a 10 minute walking distance are many restaurants, shops and the local theatre. All on level ground.
  • The nearest bus stop is approximately a -minute walk away situated on the seafront south, on level ground.
  • The local train station is approximately a 20-minute walk south next to Tesco superstore.
  • There are 4 local taxi services available.
  • A brochure can be sent out at your request, apologies as no facilities to prepare document into Braille.

Arrival & car parking facilities

  • Please advise us of your anticipated arrival time so we can be sure we are here to welcome you.
  • Unfortunately we do not have car-parking facilities.
  • To the side and rear of the property there is a public pay and display car park.
  • You may drop off at the front of the Welbeck, and then park.

Main entrance & reception

  • On entrance to the building there is a ramp into the foyer. This is 1 meter wide. There is a handrail provided.
  • Assistance is available upon request.
  • Lighting is uniform throughout the building and signage clear.
  • The flooring is level and carpeted throughout.
  • The reception area is 17" long and 3"4 wide this then leads into a public bar/lounge area.

Bathroom, shower-room & wc [ensuite or shared]

  • All our bedrooms are ensuite, they consist of a shower, toilet and a washbasin, apart from room 23 which has a bath.
  • There is also a communal bathroom situated on the second floor.
  • Handrails and a toilet seat raiser are provided in room 1.

Additional information

  • please see additional sheet for information regarding fire extinguishers, alarm points etc.
  • In the event of a fire an alarm will ring. Please advise us if you have a hearing impairment.
  • The building can be evacuated via the front door,
  • The side door in the dining room,
  • The rear of the kitchen,
  • One fire escape on the first floor opposite room 8
  • Two on the second floor located opposite rooms 19 and 23.
  • We are happy to refrigerate any medications.
  • Mobile phone reception is generally ok.

    On the first floor we have 10 bedrooms as listed below:-

  • 3 twin bedded rooms (1,2,8), each room has 2 x 26 beds
  • 3 double rooms (3,6,10), has 1 x 46 bed
  • 1 bedroom (9) sleeps 4 guests and has 1x 46 and 2x 26 beds.
  • 2 bedrooms (5,7) sleeps 3 guests and has 1 x 46 and 1 x 26 beds.
  • 1 single bedroom (11) with a 26 bed
  • On the second floor we have 13 bedrooms as listed below;
  • 4 twin bedded rooms (12,14,15,17) each room has 2 x 26 beds
  • 2 double rooms (18,23) each room has a 46 bed.
  • 7 single rooms (19,20,21,22,24,25,26) each room has a 26 bed.
  • All of our bedrooms have a wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside cabinet, 2 easy chairs and a hostess trolley.
  • Our bed linen is duvets and sheets extra bedding can be provided on request.
  • Our pillows are synthetic.
  • Please see attached plan for floor layout, fire exits, escape routes and extinguishers.
